Life Goes On

This is a purple finch resting atop a bird box . . .

that was meant for the bluebird family . . .

but was seized and claimed by this feisty chickadee and mate.

Sometimes things aren't what they appear to be . . .
or what they are supposed to be . . .

But life goes on!

For the child of God, everything will turn out just fine in the end.
And life will go on forever . . . . . . . . . . . . . and ever!
Just sayin' . . .

Farther along we'll know all about it;
Farther along we'll understand why.
Cheer up, my brother; live in the sunshine.
We'll understand it all bye and bye.

Hi Glenda, Yes--life goes on!!!!! Last year, the Chickadees try to take the Bluebird nestbox--but the Bluebirds fought for it and took it back... I felt a little sorry for the Chickadees... Oh Well...

Hugs,
Betsy

Yes, you start out with plans and then life zags you instead of zigging with you. Yet you adjust and life goes on. I can't imagine doing the zig/zag life dance without the Trinity to help me through it all.
Beautiful birds, but the chickadee looked a bit of a small bully.

What great shots you got!!! Oh , the poor bluebirds!! I guess they are now among the meek of the earth!! We love this song, we also like a version by the Peasall sisters.

Wonderful bird shots. I'm still waiting for my first bluebird shot, although it's not their fault. They're here and I just haven't been concentrating on them. Thanks for reminding me!

Isn't it wonderful to know that this isn't all that there is to look forward to? I guess every little bird needs a home. Carla

A little flock of purple finches flew in here this week-end with their beautiful colors.

We have a little bird who is trying to make a nest in a lamp by our front door. They make such a mess that we are not excited to have her make a nest there. Hopefully she will get tired of redoing her house and find another place. I do feel guilty about it though. God creatures do need a place to lay there eggs. But we do have several bird houses around. Go figure.........

I always enjoy seeing your photos. We are big bird lovers in our family. So thanks for the great shots of your friends.

And I take much much comfort, all the time, in the fact that things work out for my good when I am living in God's will. It sure takes the pressure off of my trying to figure things out :)

You are always an encouragement to me.

The good news is, at least the birds that swiped the birdhouse are a species that is attractive and fun-to-watch
