It's All About HIm!
If you have visited my blog for a while, you're already aware of how much I enjoy nature! The older I get, the more I revel in God's handiwork. I love sunrises and sunsets, the mountains and woods, birds and butterflies, and flowers of all kinds. But I don't want to ever put the creation above the Creator! The world is His . . . and it's all about Him!
I think of the question asked by Francis Chan: Are we really in love with God, or do we just love His stuff? I definitely love His stuff, but I worship Him! I praise Him for His awesome power!
This is my Father's world; I rest me in the thought . . .

Sometimes I think it is both, with Him first and His stuff second. Beautiful photo.
I am like you, loving all of God's wonders the older I get, but I also love that quote, and there is much to be said for it. Your header is beautiful with the sun just peeking out!!!
What a fantastic photo, Glenda. I think my all-time favorite hymn is "This Is My Father's World." I think maybe because I was my mama's "eyes" that I really notice all the minute details in nature and cherish the beauty so much!
Your pictures are so beautiful; they truly show the Creator's work in our lives.
I spent a year trying to become less selfish. At every turn in every day I'd remind myself out loud--it's not all about you. Your post has inspired me to now say, "It's all about Him!"
Blessings on your Sabbath,
Pamela
Where would we be without Him? He is our whole inspiration!
Wonderful reminder, Glenda. "How Great Thou Art" is one of my favorite hymns that came to my mind from reading this post. Lovely photo.
Well said, Glenda! Where do I start? I have been missing your blog! I have allowed myself to get so busy that I have forgotten what I enjoy the most! I hope that you are doing well and are having a wonderful summer. I will try to pop in more often and check on you! God bless you, my friend! Carla
I love the new header, no one paints like God.
One of my favorite hymns ... I especially love this verse:
This is my Father's world:
he shines in all that's fair;
in the rustling grass I hear him pass;
he speaks to me everywhere.
He speaks through your pictures, too, Glenda.
Yes that is so true, God first and then his creations..I love your photo..Your posts are always so uplifting..Blessings, Susie
I love this reminder to love the God who gave us all things.
Sometimes we do not realize that we love as long as we can get... the test of love would look quite different.
