It Says What??

Maybe at one time this sign far, far back in the Kisatchie Forest was accurate! Now it stands amongst brambles alongside the scenic drive below!

Scenic drive?? Four-wheel drive, maybe!

Those sandy ruts were about a foot deep, and the "road" only got worse as we drove! It would be impassable with a little rain! And trying to turn around at the "end of the trail" was awfully difficult. We did find some rock formations that apparently once drew visitors, who had carved names and initials into the rock. But the area was overgrown and hardly fit into the "scenic drive" category! We got a good laugh about the sign . . . that led to nowhere.

I'm reminded that we can't believe everything we read or hear. Doing so just might get us caught in "ruts" too deep to navigate . . . and lead us to nowhere!

What a scream!! But I guess it would be a scenic view to those who love brambles! I love your analogy; I need to keep remembering not to believe everything I hear or read.

How funny! And how true. We must be careful what we believe. Carla

Oh how funny, Glenda. George and I have gotten 'caught' on roads like that many times while trying to find waterfalls... Sometimes, not only are the signs deceiving, but also the directions and the GPS can be deceiving... ha

It did look really pretty there but I can't imagine driving there. We do have to be careful about what we see and hear. Communications today are very tricky what with the internet and all the scams we have to be more careful than ever.

That must have been a fun drive, though! Sometimes the unexpected can be the most fun.

I hope you were in a jeep!

A wonderful analogy. We have to be very discerning about what we believe.
