Let your light shine . . .

St. Simons Island Lighthouse

Carry your candle, run to the darkness.
Seek out the hopeless, confused and torn.
Hold out your candle for all to see it;
Take your candle, and go light your world.
Take your candle, and go light your world.
~Chris Rice - Go Light Your World lyrics~

Wonderful pictures of the lighthouses! Yes, we need to let His light shine through us.

I love the St. Simons lighthouse - and the books about it.

When I went to NMI general convention in San Antonio, that song was sung with lighted crosses carried by hundreds of teens. They went out into SA streets after the service with all these lit crosses - it was fabulous.

I love the second picture, where you actually captured the beam of light shining out!! And the words fit the pictures perfectly.

Oh how I love St. Simon's Island... We saw the lighthouse too ---and ate at some restaurant there where I had some kind of seafood with mango sauce.. It was awesome.

Have a wonderful weekend, Glenda.

Oh, I LOVE lighthouses!! I'm just drawn to them, probably comes from that meaningful song we sang when I was young, "Brightly beams our Father’s mercy from His lighthouse evermore,But to us He gives the keeping of the lights along the shore. Let the lower lights be burning! Send a gleam across the wave!For to us He gives the keeping of the lights along the shore."
