Wings

A whispered prayer,
a simple child-like faith
that clings to His promises
can put a song in our hearts
and give us wings to rise above shaky circumstances.

And no matter where our flight takes us,
He's always there
holding us close
under His wings.

Beautiful image and text! Did I tell you that you were right? About my post on spider flowers, you guessed the verse in Matthew was from The Message. I had meant to say that and I forgot to type it in. Well, it seems I missed your pity party post!!! I just happened to see it now. Don't know how that happened, but what a post to miss, it is wonderful!!!! I love your poem, you are so talented, it does bring tears to the eyes.

Such a lovely image. We used to live in St. Louis, and I loved looking out the window and seeing the cardinals. We don't have them here in Utah.
