Tangles

Ever watched a child try to get a knot untangled in his or her shoelaces . . . and give up? Then without a second thought, pull the tied shoe on and run off to play until Mama or Daddy - or someone who can - gets the shoelace untangled.

I thought of that this morning as I read these words in Streams in the Desert: Much of the life of faith consists of letting things alone. . . . It is such a comfort to drop the tangles of life into God's hands and leave them there.

Why would I want to resist that comfort?

I hear the answer and I don't like it.

Lord, help my unbelief.

God will make a way
where there seems to be no way.
He works in ways we cannot see;
He will make a way for me.

I strive to drop the tangles in His hands and leave them there. It is a never-ending struggle also

This is a wonderful analogy! I never thought of giving the problems over to God like a child with knots in his shoe laces! If only we could be so trusting, hmmm?!
Cool photo also!:-)

I love the little poem!!! God doesn't want us to ask him to HELP, but to give the WHOLE thing over to him without our holding on to even a little bit.

Yes---we need to drop the tangles of life in God's hands.. BUT-we humans find it hard to do that, don't we?

Great post...

I like the words to that song. It's good to be reminded that nothing is impossible with Him.

Nothing is impossible and everything can be made possible by God..

What a thought! Just like in childhood we trusted out parents and depended upon them to solve our matters, upon growing up why do we fail to depend on God and trust him when we are stuck in a rut?God is there to show us the way,we only need to keep our eyes open!

Glenda,
I love your beautiful photos in the heading.
This is a wonderful analogy about the tangles in shoe laces. I love the poem and the encouraging words.

Your header is just beautiful.

The analogy is wonderful, as usual. I'm dealing with so many loose ends right now - not tangles, but just as frustrating!

I love that song.
