Guard Duty

~Faithfully guarding the newly-hatched bluebirds~

1 Timothy 6:20-21:
And oh, my dear Timothy, guard the treasure you were given!
Guard it with your life.
Avoid the talk-show religion and the practiced confusion of the so-called experts. People caught up in a lot of talk can miss the whole point of faith.
Overwhelming grace keep you!

2 Timothy 1:13-14:
So keep at your work, this faith and love rooted in Christ,
exactly as I set it out for you.
It's as sound as the day you first heard it from me.
Guard this precious thing placed in your custody by the Holy Spirit who works in us.
 (The Message - emphasis mine)

So much to guard . . .
So much at stake . . .
So many watching our lives . . .
So much behind us . . .
So much to gain . .
So good to know He is guarding and guiding!!

They are such pretty birds. We have some in our yard this year, but we don't know where the nest is.

Bluebirds seem like such peaceful birds. I liked the scriptures you chose in that translation.

We have a few bluebirds but they are very elusive to me. I've yet to photograph one but I need a longer lens and some time where I can sit and wait for them!

I really like that last sentence, "So good to know that he is guarding and guiding." That makes me feel very safe. Lovely bluebird picture. Hope you have a nice weekend! :)

Bluebirds are beautiful aren't they? I also love the picture of the flag. Have not seen that translation of scripture before, I like it. Thank you for the lovely words on my family and grands. Forgive a "grammie" for bragging a bit over the top. Blessings.
