Heartsongs

A bird does not sing because he has the answers.
He sings because he has a song.
~Joan Walsh Anglund~

Even in the difficult times . . . when I don't have answers . . . even when I don't feel like singing, if I listen closely, I can hear a sweet melody of hope echo from somewhere deep in my soul.

And when hope's spark has been rekindled into a flame that warms my heart, I find myself singing along - maybe not always aloud, but my heart sings nevertheless. It's amazing how He knows just exactly which hymn or worship chorus or gospel song I need! I'm glad He often sets the tune to "repeat"; that way I can "hear" and sing along throughout the day - and the night!

I really do believe the words in my header: He gives a song!

Some through the water, some through the flood -
Some through the fire, but all through the blood.
Some through great sorrow,
BUT GOD GIVES A SONG -
In the night season and all the day long.
~G. A. Young~

Lovely picture, I've never been able to get a picture of a bluebird. I'm familiar with the first quote and love it. The last one I don't know. Is it a poem or from a song. I do like it!! It is amazing, isn't it, how God will give us a verse or uplifting sign just when we need it. I've found this time and agian.

That's so true!
I haven't heard that old hymn for some time and now it's floating around in my head.

This has to be one of my favorite posts yet. I love the picture, quote, your words, and song. When I am down, I find myself singing songs of praise. That is how I get through tough times. Thanks for sharing such beautiful thoughts. Carla

It is so true. He does give us a song to sing each and every day! So many times I've thought that same thing. Have a great Friday!

There are many reasons to sing but that is the main one ...

Beautiful thoughts, Glenda. And such a beautiful bird. I wish he would come to my feeder.

I love how songs come to me at any given time. Sometimes I wonder where they came from.

The bird picture is amazing - you have a wonderful camera.

Beautiful picture of your bluebird, Glenda.... Birds do have a song to sing---and we do too, if we just quite griping about things---and just relax and sing OUR songs!!!! We could learn from the birds, couldn't we?
