I read these words in my devotional for today:
God permits temptation because it does for us what the storms do for the oaks - it roots us. . . .You never know that you have a grip on Christ, or that He has a grip on you, as well as when the devil is using all his force to attract you from Him; then you feel the pull of Christ's right hand.
~Streams in the Desert~
His hand, reaching out and holding tightly to mine, makes all the difference! And His comforting words reassure:
I am the Lord, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, 'Do not fear; I will help you.'

This is great. It is good to be deeply rooted in the Lord. Thank you Glenda for sharing. Blessings.
Beautiful! And this tree must be so beautiful because it is so deeply rooted!
A lovely post and reassuring words today, Glenda.
Beautiful!
His hand reaching out and tightly holding mine....really does make all the difference.
Like the roots of that huge tree, we have to have those kinds of roots when it comes to being deeply rooted in the Lord. Praise be to God.
Hugs,
Betsy
Wonderfully said. I ended up so much more rooted in the Lord after the devastation of my divorce and my church's betrayal. I quit leaning on people and leaned on Him and 'dug in' and thus grew much stronger than I ever could have imagined.
Your post is beautiful, as well as your blog. Thank you for sharing the inspiration!
You share such meaningful thoughts. Happy weekend.
Love it, Glenda! Carla
