Imperfect Beauty

I have not yet reached my goal, and I am not perfect.
But Christ has taken hold of me. So I keep on running and
struggling to take hold of the prize.

My friends, I don't feel that I have already arrived.
But I forget what is behind, and I struggle for what is ahead.

I run toward the goal, so that I can win the prize of being called to heaven.
This is the prize that God offers because of what Christ Jesus has done.
~Philippians 3:12-14 (Contemporary English Version)~

The more I (falsely) think I have arrived, the more I realize how far I fail. That recognition causes me to cling more closely to God's good grace.

Whenever I'm upset at anyone, I try to remember that no one's perfect, and when I mess up, I hope others will extend grace toward me. I like your header, and you can even see the fuzz on that flower stem!

I agree, this is a perfect header for your post and your photo!

Thanks for this reminder that God is not finished with anyone yet. We haven't reached the end of the race!

I, too, have fond memories of VBS. (regarding previous post) May God bless those seeds of his Word that you planted in the childrens' lives...and the truths you've taught them.

Well, none of us are perfect... Imagine how boring the world would be if everyone and everything were perfect.... Love that little flower!!!! Very special!
