Is There a Titmouse Whisperer in the House?

As I type this, a young titmouse is clinging to my kitchen window - and there's very little there to cling to, pecking loudly on the glass, chattering like he's in distress, and desperately trying to get in! He's done this repeatedly for two days now, and I have no idea what his problem is! I've never seen anything like it!

His - or her - crazy antics do make good photos, however!

That Titmouse must see his reflection --and think that another Titmouse is nearby... He may have a nest nearby that he is trying to protect...

IF he bothers you and you want him to stop, put up some cloth or something which will get rid of the reflection... He'll hopefully leave.

Cute title about a Titmouse Whisperer..

Betsy

How sweet! Your little friend is very photogenic! I think my favorite picture is the one with his little head peeking above the window. Hopefully, for your sake, he will tire of this soon. Carla

Truly amazing pictures. They make the bird look very large, though he is not. His tail looks like a fan! He is probably seeing his reflection and thinks it's another bird. Or he is seeing something in the glass that is making him act like this. You may want to put something up over it or close the curtains.

That little Titmouse reminds of some of our seniors. I'll explain -- in our elevators we have mirrors so that people can see who is coming in behind them. Some of our residents who are cognitively challenged, see their reflection and want to go through the reflection to that nice place over there or they see themselves and start talking to that dear friend and wonder why the friend doesn't say anything! Good luck with your adorable bird!!

That is so cute. It's amazing that he can hang on to the window like that.

Oh he's so cute!

I wonder what he wants? Betsy from Tennessee had some good hunches.

I like his tail!

Amazing pictures. We used to have a bird, I don't remember what kind, do that very thing to all the windows on one side of our school when I was teaching. Trying to get it. I think he/she must seen his/her reflection, and thought it to be a friend. No clue.

I hope he/she does not get hurt.
