Waiting

I'm waiting . . .
For temps to drop. . .
And leaves to show their oranges, reds, and yellows.

I'm waiting . . .
To get out sweaters and jackets . . .
And for fires in the fireplace.

I'm waiting (sometimes impatiently) . . .
And it WILL happen . . .
In His time . . .

He's never failed since creation to order the seasons!
We can count on His faithfulness . . . in every season.

He changes times and seasons . . .
Daniel 2:21a

some things are a certainty ... His faithfulness is one of them

A very unusual scarecrow face! A lot of life is waiting, isn't it? Maybe too much. I try not to wait, but to enjoy the moment. Everything comes too fast for me, the more so as I get older. Life is like a speeding train.

It seems that we are always waiting on something. Thankfully, He is in control. I don't have to worry about what is going to happen and when it will. Thanks for the reminder of this important fact! Have a wonderful day. Carla

I love the last part of your post, about God never failing to change the seasons since creation. It's another way He is faithful and can be depended on!

I spent the day in a room that registered about 90 degrees with the air conditioner huffing and puffing away. When you've got 32 teen-agers packed into a room designed for 25 and you still want to go back the next day, then you know you love teaching!
But the kicker was walking amidst all the people, displays, food venders, etc. at our town's Pumpkin Festival---pumpkin as in fall! We're all sweating and wondering and waiting for the tradtional temperatures.
But just as you said, God is faithful no matter how long we wait.

One of the fun parts of fall is to see the decorations around town. This is a cutie! It is wonderful to remember who we have to thank for the amazing variety of seasons we enjoy.

Glenda,
Beautiful poem. I'm also waiting for the weather to cool, looking forward to fall, all in God's perfect timing.
Love your photo of the scarecrow face!
