We're on island time . . .

"Be still and know that I am God."

You may have noticed that I haven't posted much lately nor have I commented on other blogs. That's because we are on vacation! Yesterday we visited this most peaceful place - Christ's Church on St. Simons Island, GA. Its tranquility and beauty are indescribable!

I'll post more pics later - and get caught up with your blogs!

This is so lovely, Glenda. I want to sit on that bench. I see there is even some Spanish Moss hanging down, so I had to click and get a better look. Can't wait to hear about your trip and see your new pictures!

I wondered about you. So glad you've been posting less for happy reasons. I have wondered about St. Simons Island for years---hopefully your pics will give me an idea of what it's like.
Enjoy!

One of my favorite places ever! I did a series of posts on our trip there several years ago - I'll have to send you the links. I re-read the Eugenia Price series that was based on the island and the church and really enjoyed visiting the cemetery behind the church, which has the real people who were characters in her books.

I thought the picture of the deer in the school zone looked a little "mossy" for your area. That's an area I've always wanted to visit. Can't wait to see your photos! Have fun.

Beautiful! It reminds me of the Los Angeles Arboretum...but I'm sure the place you pictured is much MORE beautiful.

Many times I attend church alone. On the way home I stop at the Arboretum and have a walk and talk with God...or I just try to walk and keep my mind still (which is hard). I like to sit on a bench, such as the one pictured, and drink in the peace...His peace.

I love benches and pictures of benches. They say, "slow down, sit awhile, look at the beauty around you, feel that God is near." Have a great vacation!
