They'll know . . .

(near Tybee Island, GA)

We are told to let our light shine, and if it does, we won't need to tell anybody it does. Lighthouses don't fire cannons to call attention to their shining - they just shine.
~Dwight L. Moody~

Lighthouses and Christ-followers . . . they just shine!

. . . and they'll know we are Christians by our love, by our love,
Yes, they'll know we are Christians by our love.
~Lyrics by Peter Scholtes~

Neat post Glenda... Yes, we are like lighthouses... We just keep on shining with God's love....

Of course you knew I would love this, because that is the theme of my blog!! But that picture, I've never seen anything quite like it!! It is amazing. Such an intense blue, but the sky and the sea both match and you can't tell one from the other. I enlarged it to get a better look. Usually when something like this happens, the colors are lighter, and more muted.

That little song has always been a favorite of mine! Love lighthouses too and have collected just a couple small ones over the year! What a beautiful message - just to let our lights shine. If Jesus lives within He can't help but shine through!! Have a lovely week-end!

I love the Moody quote. As St. Francis said, 'Preach the Gosepel at all times, when necessary use words'

I agree with Ginny---that photo is almost unbelievable. The muted blues with the lighthouse seeming to float on water and then the intese greens. Wow! You could sell that one.
The words are so true. I esp. like the one about how the lighthouses simply show their light. If we have to announce our faith, then chances are we're not living it well enough.
Thank you for the privelege of sharing in that view. Awesome.

I love that comparison. And I've seen that lighthouse!

Your new header is beautiful. And I had to laugh at your comment on my post ... freezing weather :) It was 35 degrees outside and we were all running around smiling at each other and not wearing coats. Hehehe. But ... we still have to wear boots :)

Have a blessed Lord's Day my friend.
