If love says anything . . .

Love covers a multitude of sins. I Peter 4:8

That Bible verse can easily be misinterpreted. We know that we can't forgive or remove sins. Only the blood of Jesus does that! So what does it mean? I like what Max Lucado says about it:

Have you ever heard anyone gossip about someone you know? . . .
What do you have to say?

Here is what love says: Love says nothing. Love stays silent. “Love covers a multitude of sins.” Love doesn’t expose. It doesn’t gossip. If love says anything, love speaks words of defense. Words of kindness. Words of protection.

Words to live by . . . words that get right down where we live . . . words that I need to be reminded of often!

They will know we are Christians by our love . . . by our love.
Yes, they'll know we are Christians by our love.

There are two classrooms I won't walk into before or after school. There are two groups of teachers; sometimes only two and sometimes as many as six and they do a lot of gossiping and complaining and tearing down in those rooms. It's just best to stay away and as I've said before in my blog, my lunch hour is often spent in my room so as to not be subjected to the negativity there. I've found that preventive action is often the best way to go.
Are those your flowers back up and looking good after that storm messed your roses and other flowers up?
They look quite lovely.
