Flower Power

First bloom of the season -
Late but worth waiting for.

A gentle reminder of a special brother
Who took the time to root clippings for us.

He's been gone from us six years now,
But today he seems near.

A lone beautiful flower facing my window
Can say so much.

It is the small things that remind us of our loved ones that are no longer with us. Hopefully, the beauty of the flower brought a smile to your face as you remembered him:)

It's a beautiful reminder! Is it a Confederate Rose? I used to have one of those. The only thing I didn't like was that they didn't bloom until it was almost time for a frost!

It is a Confederate Rose, Dorothy. And it is full of buds, so it will be in full bloom in a few days!
