Standing

Standing
Grounded
Rooted

Experiencing . . .
Winter
Spring
Summer
 Fall

Enduring . . .
Drought
Heat
Cold
Storms

Providing . . .
Shelter
Shade
Refuge
Beauty

Standing tall
Grounded solidly
 Rooted deeply

So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord,
continue to live in Him, rooted and built up in Him,
strengthened in the faith as you were taught,
and overflowing with thanksgiving.
Colossians 2:6

Therefore, put on the full armor of God . . .
and after you have done everything, to stand.
Stand firm then . . .
Ephesians 6:13-14

(Note:  Each time we visit Cades Cove near Gatlinburg, TN, this lone, spreading tree captures my attention, and I've taken numerous photos of it. )

I L-O-V-E this! I always had my lone favorite tree on our trip back home - from Edmonton to Winnipeg - and always made sure I wasn't napping when we would get to that place so that I could enjoy it! Awesome photo and especially those thoughts that go with it! My thoughts exactly!!

Beautiful post, Glenda... I often wonder if trees could talk, what would they say??? They have endured so much --yet they stand tall... Awesome!!!!

Love Cades Cove, don't you????
Hugs,
Betsy

Dear Glenda,
Thank you so much for your comment, I'm so glad to have a link to your beautiful blog! Our profiles are similar, but I have just one grandson, just 3 months old. I love your splashes of color, it will probably be months before we see that in Wisconsin. I did see a bluebird, I have no idea what they do about food when the snow is on the ground. I attend Oakwood church and often look for Oak trees for our publications...I can see why you have photographed this tree many times, what a beautiful shape!
