At Rest

Words of Jesus:
Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened,
and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me,
for I am gentle and humble in heart,
and you will find rest for your souls.
For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.
~Matthew 11:28-30~

In the 1800's, songwriter Jean Sophia Pigott wrote these words:
Jesus, I am resting, resting
In the joy of what thou art;
I am finding out the greatness
Of thy loving heart.

Beautiful images! Love the header, is it dandelions or mouse-eared hawkweed?

Ginny, it's dandelions in my backyard.

Love those words... This time of year, when we work in the yard constantly, I do feel weary (especially at nights)... I love the outside work and I do get some good exercise--but I definitely need REST!!!!!

Love your photo...
Hugs,
Betsy

So much fun to see photos of cardinals as they rarely come this far north.

"I am finding out the greatness, of Thy loving heart."

Amen to that. (And a beautiful capture of that lovely female cardinal, too!)
