The wind blew
ruffling his feathers,
but he didn't retreat;
he was too near his destination -
lunch at the bird feeder!

Gusts of wind
sometimes ruffle my feathers,
but I must not retreat;
I'm too close to my destination
to turn back now!

. . . forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead,
I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call
of God in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 3:13-14

Cute birdie, Glenda... YES---we all get our feathers ruffled from time to time... BUT--with God's help, we will continue along the way of life!!!!
Hugs,
Betsy

Oh, what a sweet little titmouse! I spent some time this afternoon trying to take pictures of bluebirds and all I met with was failure! I need a better lens. What kind of lens do you use for your fabulous bird photos, Glenda?

Kathy, I just got a new Nikon D7000 camera and usually use the 150-500mm lens(it's a Sigma) - set on "Sports" for bird pics. I haven't learned to do manual settings yet. I think this pic was made through the kitchen window, and I may have used the short lens. I crop and edit in Picasa3.

Your pics are always wonderful!

Lovely picture go match the even lovelier verse. Glenda, I so want to thank you for the precious poem you shared with me on Tuesday's post. It was perfect for my posting and touched me deeply. I copied it and put in my wallet, it meant that much to me. Thank you dear friend. May your day be blessed with joy.
