Renewal

28 Have you not known?
Have you not heard?

The everlasting God, the LORD,

the Creator of the ends of the earth,
neither faints nor is weary.
His understanding is unsearchable.
29 He gives power to the weak,
and to
those who have no might
He increases strength.

30
Even the youths shall faint and be weary,
and the young men shall utterly fall,
31 But those who wait on the LORD
shall renew
their strength;
they shall mount up with wings like eagles,
they shall run and not be weary,

they shall walk and not faint.

Isaiah 40:28-31

The key to renewal is waiting . . .
Not in hopelessness . . . but in expectancy.
Not in idle passivity . . . but in seeking . . . in prayer . . . in resting in His promises.
Not in frenzied "doing" . . . but in quiet abiding in the Giver of Strength.

Waiting . . .
Not an easy place to be . . .
But the results are worth the wait!

Fear not; I am with thee; O be not dismayed.
For I am thy God, I will still give thee aid.
I'll strengthen thee, help thee, and cause thee to stand,
Upheld by My gracious omnipotent hand.

Glenda, your post are always so encouraging. I have been waiting expectantly on the Lord for some time. I know that he has an answer for me, but sometimes waiting is hard. Thanks for the reminder that the results are worth the wait. Carla

Waiting expectantly instead of passively can be a difficult thing to learn.

Hi Glenda, My friend Dorothy should read your blog. Her son received burns --and is getting treatment in a burn center in GA. It's going to be a long wait for all of them... Your post would be perfect for her today. Think I'll tell her to check it out.

The waiting in life can be so hard...We are never patient people ...

Love the eagle picture. Did you take it?

Hugs,
Betsy

Susan, you are so right; waiting expectantly in many situations is one of life's hardest lessons - one that I struggle with at times. My posts are as much a reminder to myself as they are for those who read them. I have an idea that you could teach us much about waiting and patience... and the lessons you have learned are so beautifully reflected in your photos and words.

Wow! Where did you get that picture of the bald eagle! It's outstanding, and he looks so regal! I love those verses from Isaiah, I put them on my mom's memorial service program.
