Rain Expected

Cracked, parched earth
Dry, thirsty souls
Share a common need:

Showers . . .
Refreshing, life-giving showers

Lord, send the rain!

For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty,
and floods upon the dry ground . . .
Isaiah 44:3b

Hope everyone that needs rain gets some. It's dry here in MS but we have been getting brief showers. Love that old hymn, Showers of Blessings!

Hi Glenda, Seems like I have prayed ALOT this summer for rain here... Even last night, there was a big 'wad' of rain coming right toward us... BUT--it dissipated before getting here.

When I got outside and watered all of my potted plants yesterday--it was over 90 degrees here with a heat index of 98. When I came inside--I was wringing wet.... I'm ready for FALL ---and RAIN...

Hugs,
Betsy

What an image you have captured there! And the lovely verse from Isaiah is perfect to go with it.

Very nice to meet you and I admire your amazing photography. Your commenters are all blog friends of mine ~ we have much in common. I'm thankful for the nice rain we had Friday evening.

Incredible picture. I like the metaphor--so apt---our parched souls without the Word and the parched ground without rain.
Wonderful verse.

This makes me think of my son and how he needs to absorb God's love. (I pray his soil will soften.)
