Lift her high . . . let her wave . . .

(Click on pic to enlarge.)

After watching our local news and the coverage of the funeral of a police officer, I may have an answer to your questions about what was occurring in this photo. As the funeral procession traveled through the streets of a nearby city today, the vehicles passed under a flag held by two cranes like these. I'm thinking that these fire trucks were in position waiting to honor the deceased, who must have been highly respected in this community. If that's the case, the photo takes on a whole new meaning.

This is very cool! I have a similar picture, only the flag is on just one crane. Yours is much more dramatic!

No commentary? You leave me full of questions. Where? When? Why is "Wonderworks" backward and upside down in the sign on the lower right? (I think that's what it says.) All food for thought I suppose. It's a great photo even though I'm still very curious!

Ditto to Kathy's comment. The first thing I noticed when I enlarged the picture, was the upside down sign! I'm guessing it's part of a theme park.

I've been "facebooking" too long! I kept looking for the "like" option to click on!

Sorry to leave you wondering!! I have no explanation at all, however, except to say that I took it as we drove through North Carolina. I took over 700 pics on vacation and didn't always write down locations. Now you know just how my memory is failing me!!
