Community

Don’t walk in front of me, I may not follow;
don’t walk behind me, I may not lead.
Walk beside me, and just be my friend.
~Albert Camus~

Author Reuben Welch says it this way:
You know something? We're all just people who need each other.
We're all learning, and we've all got a long journey ahead of us.
We've got to go together, and if it takes us until Jesus comes,
we better stay together,
we better help each other. . .
No matter how long it takes us, we've got to go together
because that's how it is in the Body of Christ.

Bill and Gloria Gaither wrote beautiful lyrics that fit so well here:
Going together, enjoying the trip -
Getting used to the family I'll spend eternity with.
Learning to love you - how easy it is,
Getting used to the family of God.

Love the photo and the quote.

Your comments are so true also: we are a community who need to support each other as we take this journey through life.

It's amazing to me how much the support of fellow bloggers has helped me. I didn't expect that when I started blogging.

Oh and Happy Belated Birthday!
That was awesome what your grandkids 'made' for you ---so original of your son and family. :)

Wish we all could just 'get it' and travel along in peace!

Hi Glenda, This is a fabulous post ---and we ALL need to read that quote often --and listen to the music of the Gaithers.

I love it: Don't walk behind; don't walk in front; Just walk beside me....

Hugs,
Betsy

I love your photo illustration. It would be a wonderful world indeed if we all did as this says!

I love the picture and the words....to quote a child I once heard, 'Why can't we all just get along?' May your words and thoughts help to bring peace to our world, our families and our hearts.

Such a beautiful post. Getting along together is the answer. Not always agreeing but still supporting eachother in love.
