And I praise Him for the "cup's full and running over times"!
I like the words of the following song by the Gaither Vocal Band:
When my soul is dry and thirsty
And panting for the Spirit's rain -
So depleted, weary, empty,
Every resource used and drained.
Then the rains come!
O the rains come!
Gentle streams flowing down the mountains -
Filling rivers . . . rushing waters
To the valley bringing
Wondrous life!
And panting for the Spirit's rain -
So depleted, weary, empty,
Every resource used and drained.
Then the rains come!
O the rains come!
Gentle streams flowing down the mountains -
Filling rivers . . . rushing waters
To the valley bringing
Wondrous life!

Your roses are fabulous, Glenda... Ours have been great this Fall also... Spring and Fall are definitely the best time for roses. I hate to see ours go. So far though, even with 3 mornings of temps in the 20's, our roses are all still fine and some are still blooming... One of these days though, the cold weather and frost will get them.... Then we'll have to wait til spring to start over.
Hugs,
Betsy
Oh, what wonderful pictures! And they illustrate the words beautifully! They are literally just drenched, and you can even see the heaviness from the overflowing water! I'm surprised there's any roses around right now, what a lovely bit of beauty hanging on for so long.
Wow! This is a marvelous posting, Glenda. I love the roses and the scriptures bless me. What an uplifting posting. It's one of the best you've ever done.
Such marvelous photos Glenda. Such a pleasure to visit with you. Hope you have a restful evening.
Your pictures are beautiful! We had showers of blessings today! The rain gently fell taking leaves down with them. Carla
Beautiful roses! We have had a few showers today and every day we have showers of blessings!
What a treat to see roses and raindrops in the middle of November ...
And they are definitely gorgeous.
Oh.. beautiful photos! I commented to my hubby the other day that the fall roses are more beautiful than the summer roses... yours remind me of my wet roses greeting me in the morning at my back door. I will be thinking "mercy drops" ...
Just in case You see how long I've had your blog open.... I was enjoying your music... thanks.
