The wind blew
hard
very hard.
His feathers were ruffled
and he spread his feet
and held on.
I've felt the winds
blowing
hard
very hard.
I've been ruffled
and battered
trying to hold on.
It was the same One
who watches out for the birds
who held me.
It's His call
to calm the winds
or me.

I have been in that wind, I think most of us have. Your image is s fitting, and the message comforting. Of course I never look as pretty as this jay when I am ruffled!
I'm so glad that the one who cares for the birds, watches us too!
Little blue birds can look so sweet at times - and other times so ferocious!
Lovely words and lovely photo!
What a comfort it is that He is the one that anchors us in the winds.
Glenda...this is beautiful. first the pic of the little bird and your words really hit home. There's a gentleness and calm to your writing
This is so beautifully said and the words describe much of what I'm going through. I still have hold, but the wind has been fierce.
Wonderful and comforting!

Yes, the birds remind me of His love and care, as well :)
