Fear Not!

Click on pic to enlarge.

And Isaiah 41:13 says: For I the Lord thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.

So when when the clouds threaten to hide His face, His Light . . . I'll just hold tighter to His hand.

Holding hands with God . . . what a thought . . . what a reality!

When I posted earlier, I couldn't seem to think of the "right" song to add to my thoughts. A short while later, I got in the car to run an errand, and as always XM Enlighten radio was playing as I pulled onto the highway. At first I didn't pay any attention to the words - until I heard the Collingsworth family sing: Fear not tomorrow, for God is already there. And then they added these familiar words: Many things about tomorrow, I don't seem to understand. But I know Who holds tomorrow and I know Who holds my hand.

Coincidence? I don't think so! Just another reminder that God knows about every detail of my life, He's aware of all my anxieties and that He cares enough to give me a song!

How beautiful, and I agree with everything. Phil and I are getting ready to lead a bible study on fear, teaching some ten year olds who have too many fears. We have not been given a spirit of fear, have we? It is a learned thing, and something we need, up to a point. The problem is that the point keeps moving.

Loved it! Thanks for these words of comfort and reassurance! He holds my hand even when I've wanted to wriggle out of His at times.

Isn't it something how God sends just the right song at the right time, or just the right words from a friend when we need it the most? What a lovely picture and post. Carla

I was having a really yucky day last week when I got home from my trip and was tired and had all 4 girls for the day. I got into the car and just the exact song I needed by Janet Paschal came on the radio. My friend Diane always calls those "Godincidences." I love it.

There was an evangelist named Bob Swanson when we were growing up - probably the one who was at your camp meeting. I am glad to hear there are still open air tabernacles in this generation! But I'll bet it was really hot.

I'm just now catching up---I only had the Irish lass for four days; I have the computer indefinitely.

This post really 'spoke' to me. There is so much about my future that is in 'limbo and it gets frustrating. But as you said God knows.

I like what you said about holding tighter to his hand---I need to do that.

Awesome picture!

What a nice thought. God holding our hand. That thought will give me strength.

Jesus always said, "I am never alone." and we are never alone. We often forget that God is right beside us, supporting the weight, and giving us strength and wisdom.

Thanks for this reminder!

Isaiah 41:13 is one of my very favorite verses, along with Deuteronomy 31:8, "The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; He will never leave you or forsake you. Do not be afraid, do not be discouraged."

Which goes along with the words to the song, "Fear not tomorrow, for God is already there."

Your photos are lovely, too.
